Don’t worry, I’m not about to get all wordy about writing or typeface design or fonts (or the difference between a typeface and a font because there is one and it MATTERS but maybe I’ll get to that another time.*)
Anyhow, I spend a lot of time neglecting my youngest child while I nurse her (and nurse her and nurse her and nurse her some more), but sometimes #brexting is implausible because time zones are terrible. So I spend a lot of that time playing iPhone games, and this one, Lettercraft, has quickly become a favorite when I’m not too tired to think.
It’s basically Boggle, but with specific challenges (like “all words must contain the letter b”) that keep it interesting, and a survival mode to see how long you can last. And it’s pretty, and pretty goes a long way with me. You can also play with other people if you’re into that sort of thing.
So. Not lifechanging, far from revolutionary, but a nice little diversion if you’re looking for one. I got it free, thanks to the Starbucks app (so check yours; you probably still have a code), but I would not be unhappy if I had paid a few bucks for it.
*No, I won’t. You have google and I will probably forget I ever mentioned it. Just file it under “cranky pedant” and move on.
